Grief is not a journey you have to take alone.
How We Help
Mindset Vitality counsellors are professionals who volunteer their time outside of their own therapeutic practice or counselling studies to support our clients.
Our volunteers are compassionate, trustworthy individuals who are trained to provide listening services to work with bereaved clients in our Bereavement Friendship groups, over the phone, or online.
Navigating Grief
Get to Know Us
Founded in 2022 our charity was set up with the mission of providing wellbeing support for bereaved people living in South Wales.
Bereaved people who are struggling and find the courage to reach out for support need to be able to tell their stories and find solace with each other.
We provide Bereavement Friendship groups in Pontardawe and Neath twice a month. Further groups will be developed in other areas of South Wales as we become aware of a need and recruit suitable volunteers as co-hosts.
When & Where?
Pontardawe
Our Pontardawe Bereavement Friendship Group takes place on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 1pm - 3pm in Pontardawe Heritage and Visitor Centre (behind the Dillwyn Arms) .
Our final session of 2023 is on 21st December and we begin again on 4th January 2024.
When & Where?
Neath
Our Neath Bereavement Friendship Group takes place on the first and third Mondays of the month from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm in the Community Centre, 10-12 Orchard St (next to Gwyn Hall).
