Our Bereavement Friendship Groups
We now offer Bereavement Friendship Groups in three areas within Neath Port Talbot and Swansea, for two hours, twice per month.
We offer this service at no charge to attendees, but donations are always welcome towards our costs.
Pontardawe Group
This was our first group, which is now into its fourth year. Several of our original members still attend regularly and continue to benefit from the support. New attendees receive a warm welcome.
We meet at the Wellbeing Hub, in a room off the Men's Shed, from 1.30 to 3.30 pm on the first and third Thursdays of each month. There is no cost to attend.
In addition to compassionately listening to each other, we discuss ways of coping with grief, managing thoughts and feelings, and practice techniques to focus, induce calm presence, self-soothing, and build resilience.
Neath Group
We meet in the Council Community Centre in Orchard St, next to the Gwyn Hall, from 12.30 to 2.30 pm, on the first and third Mondays of each month. It's very near to the bus station.
The group is in its third year. Newcomers are always welcome to join in our supportive chats and activities.
Swansea Group
Our Swansea group began in December 2024. It is based in St Mary's Minster in the centre of town. We meet from 12.00 to 2.00 pm on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the private room at the back of the altar.
New grievers are always welcome to join us for a cuppa and a chat in any of our groups.
You can also raise donations for our groups, at no cost to you, by joining easyfundraising.

Another way to contribute to our funds is by entering Lotto Abertawe. This local lottery offers weekly draws of £25,000 for £1 a ticket and all sales go to support local charities.
